Greek Mythology NIKI (Not Surya / Krishna)
PLEASE BELIEVE IT (it is Not Surya / Arjun or Krishna / Shiva), IT IS in Greek mythology, Niki (Nike) is the winged goddess of victory who is often depicted as the divine charioteer of Zeus and Athena ; The word "NIKE" itself has SANSKRIT roots ("Ni" meaning to lead or govern), but this is a linguistic connection rather than a shared mythological figure. It is on display at the BOSTON Museum of Fine Arts. Jewellery is made up of more than a hundred individual items glued together. The bodies of the figures are made of gold leaf which is decorated with details of wire and small gold balls. The palm of the honeysuckle is shaped like curved petals and circular stamens with a contour of thin twisted wires. Enamel residues survive in several of the stamens. In the centre of the leaf, there is a teardrop fruit that is coated with dense gold granulation. A hoop on the underside was probably attached to an ear cord, which is now missing. This particular jewellery was made with the technique of granulation. The granules are placed on the metal plate according to pre-designed patterns, or randomly. TODAY, this handmade technique is used only in INDIA and PAKISTAN
